“The String of Horses presents itself as a truly authentic coaching inn, where a genuine warmth emanates from its staff and substantial, well-prepared food. I particularly noted the thoughtful, stylish refurbishment of the 17th-century building, creating comfortable rooms alongside a welcoming bar atmosphere, all set within a quiet, accessible Cumbrian village.”
